About us
Vishwas is a project initiated by the Holy Spirit Missionary Sisters (Pavitra Atma Sevika Sangh). We are dedicated to serving humanity through various initiatives, including women empowerment, healthcare, education, social work, counselling, special care for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV), promotion of justice, peace, integrity of creation, and sustainable development. The project of Vishwas was initiated in response to the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in Indore, Khandwa, and the neighbouring districts. Having completed twenty-three years of humanitarian service in the field of HIV/AIDS, Vishwas is committed to providing essential services to PLHIV, enabling them to lead dignified lives within the society. The organisation adopts a holistic approach towards supporting PLHIV, offering comprehensive assistance to address their diverse needs.
Educational Qualification
Postgraduate degree in social work (MSW), psychology, sociology, public health, or any other relevant discipline from a recognised university.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in the HIV/AIDS sector. Experience in counselling people living with HIV (PLHIV). Experience in documentation, reporting, and office administration will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual, family, and group counselling to PLHIV and their family members.
Provide psychosocial support and counselling to newly diagnosed clients and their families.
Promote ART adherence, positive living, treatment literacy, and stigma reduction.
Identify and refer beneficiaries to appropriate health, social welfare, and support services.
Maintain confidential counselling records, case files, and project documentation.
Coordinate with ART centres, link ART centres, ICTCs, government departments, and other stakeholders.
Assist in office administration, correspondence, filing, record management, and report preparation.
Support project activities, awareness programmes, meetings, trainings, and donor reporting.
Perform any other duties assigned by the project manager. Required Skills
Excellent counselling, communication, and interpersonal skills. Good knowledge of HIV/AIDS, ART services, and psychosocial care.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team.
